Hi, my name is Sam and I study Maths at Loughborough University. I am the current Financial Accounting and Reporting Intern, specifically focusing on Reconciliation and Purchase Ledger.
Being part of the Finance team entails working in a challenging yet friendly environment. Despite not being here long, I have already vastly developed my knowledge of Finance whilst building strong working relationships with my colleagues who are always approachable to ask for help if I need it. Alongside my daily tasks, I have partaken in different projects and consequently have developed many skills that will benefit me, both in my academics and in my career.
One of the main reasons I applied to RCI was their culture and how they foster innovation and growth. Since arriving this statement couldnāt be truer, with no day being the same and exciting opportunities always around the corner! The transition between university and work life has come seamlessly and my biggest compliment to the company is that I have loved the first 4 months of being here.
Aside from work, there are team building and social events which allow you to fully immerse into the business and help you to settle in effortlessly. I have to reinforce how good RCI are for placement students, you are given the tools to thrive and maximise your potential whilst having a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
